From the moment the shy bushy haired Taylor auditioned for Idol all those years ago getting only negative comments form Simon, I knew he was the next Idol and had so something special. Sigh.....
Saw Taylor at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticcut Friday 4/27. Although I was ten rows from the stage I was dead center and the couple in front of me left me with a gap between them (they did not MOVE) the entire night.I was disappointed there was not more Taylor! Jamie McClean band played the entire first set (at least six or seven songs!!!) (the entire first hour from 8-9) and they weren't listed on the bill, not even as the opening act! Although they were a nice band, they were NOT Taylor!!!
I did get to meet him after the concert (which was a wonderful surprise that he was going to do a meet and greet) to sign my CD and get a photo of the two of us and a little video clip thanks to my friend.
Ahhhh... to be younger and hotter.... he is so incredibly soulful and sexy and southern charming! I just don't understand why he is not more renown and in more venues... like the other IDOL winners like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, He is AS good as them, yet his greatness is almost forgotten like the Clay Aikens, the Elliot Yamins, who were close, but not winners. They too have voices like angels. Taylor's voice resonates in your breath, his energy will not allow me to sit still in my seat for a second (sorry to the people behind me!!!) and his singing and lyrics touch your soul. Thank you, Taylor Rueben Hicks for entertaining my heart with yours!!! Your talent, soul, and passion is not unrecognized with me.
p.s. getting to put my arm around your sweaty shoulder was a treat beyond words!!!!!! : )
